Cartoon Strips

I have included my cartoon strips because I make work like this for the consumption of my friends all the time and very much enjoy it. I felt it was worth including in my portfolio because it is funny and shows my ability to portray a simple narrative in an easy to understand way.

Un-used to wine

One of the things I love about being new to Australia is Australian television. Most British people in Australia will tell you that Australian television is horrible. They are missing the point. Were it not for Australian television I would never have caught up on Brideshead Revisited (a show even older than I am!) and thus would never have heard the excuse that could have got me through my late teenage years 'Mr Flyte was merely un-used to wine':
The Saga of Coakley-Mouse Killer!!

One night my (ex)boyfriend rang me up very excitable, it appeared he had thwarted the scariest beastie the UK has to offer; a mouse! I imagined the scenario something like this:

I was very pleased with the artistic abilities I had showcased and promptly showed my boyfriend my very flattering portrait of him. Reviews were, to put an optimistic slant on things, mixed. It turns out that in fact he is not the sort of person who would bash a mouse to death with an axe and a jaunty smile on his face.
I was forced to issue this statement:

In the UK freezing is a silent mouse killer.
